How My Journey Began

Before becoming a matchmaker, I worked in upper management at a Fortune 500 company. In December 2006, I made a decision that changed the course of my life. I stepped away from corporate leadership and began exploring the idea of starting a dating company.

At the time, I spent countless hours researching, reading books about entrepreneurs, and studying the dating industry. I even applied for positions at established dating companies, hoping to learn from within. When those opportunities didn’t materialize, I asked myself a different question:

Like most entrepreneurs, I learned through experience, persistence, and sometimes trial and error. In the early years, I experimented with different marketing channels, partnerships, and strategies. Some worked well. Others did not.

In some cases, having an Asian woman for a partner can be a benefit, because they will also share healthy eating habits with their partner.
They value family: Asian women are very family-oriented. The reason being is that they are taught to honor, respect and care for their elders. They take the advice of their parents, grandparents, and other respected elders that they should work out their differences in marriages and that divorce is not the usual option. This can be one reason why you don’t see a lot of Asian women with divorced parents. Asian families tend to take in their in-laws or parents and have them live in their homes.
